What Is A World Bet In Craps
- When a craps number rolls on the Come Out you lose your Pass Line bet, so the World works as a hedge in that regards – an expensive hedge, but a hedge nonetheless. In a $10 game you’d turn a net $1 profit on a three craps and a $16 profit on a two or twelve.
- The Whirl, which is also known as a “World” bet, is a one-roll proposition bet that adds the Any Seven bet to the Horn. The Whirl is actually five independent bets, one on each of the five numbers (i.e., it’s not a combination bet). Therefore, to keep things easy, you want the amount of your bet to be a multiple of 5.
- Pass Line Odds Payoffs and Probability. The payouts that are offered when playing Craps are all based on probability and the chances of a certain number being rolled. The true odds for Pass Line bets are 251:244, but the payout odds are 1:1. With this bet, there is a house edge of 1.41%.
Types of Craps Bets
Simply put, a World bet is a combination of two bets – a Horn Bet plus an Any Seven. If any of the Horn numbers rolled you’ll be paid the appropriate amount for the winning number, minus the amount wagered on the losing numbers, so that your bet will be “up to win again.”. Let’s run that through a couple of examples.

The C&E bet is actually a combination of the any craps bet and the yo bet. Basically when you bet on C and E, you are wagering that the shooter will roll any craps numbers (2, 3, or 12) and 11. If you hit any one of these numbers, you win the bet. I heard that many people don't really understand this bet because it is actually hard to find on the table, which I will explain below.
The C and E bet has overall odds of 5:1. The payout odds are actually different for each part of the bet. It normally pays out 3:1 if the crap numbers come up and it pays 7:1 if 11 is rolled. Both of these payouts are different than if you made these bets individually. In the end, the total overall house edge is 11.11%, which is kind of a letdown for such an arcane-looking and complicated wager. Another important thing to remember is one part of the combined bet is always going to lose, if either the craps or yo bet, if not both parts.
Craps Strategies That Work
I displayed a screenshot of the bet below. The first thing you should look for is the proposition betting box, which is placed in the center of the craps table layout (or the left side of the image below). Surrounding this area is eight C and E spots on each side of the proposition box. It is just two small circles with a C and E in each one. There are a bunch of these here, unlike a single clear spot where you can put your chips. I wagered $88 on C and E, which means a total bet of $176 since $88 gets placed on Yo and Any Craps at the same time. If this sounds confusing, click on the image to open the Flash game and make a wager on C and E to understand the bet better.
